This non-accredited Asbestos Awareness course provides essential knowledge about asbestos-containing materials (ACMs) in the workplace and how to prevent exposure. Learners will understand how to recognise common ACMs, assess disturbance risks, and apply safe work practices to protect health. 

The course explains the long-term health effects of asbestos exposure, including asbestosis, lung cancer, and mesothelioma, and outlines the legal responsibilities of PCBUs, officers, workers, and contractors. 

This program is compliant with Australian WHS legislation and current Codes of Practice, ensuring the training aligns with national standards and industry requirements. It is suitable for anyone who may encounter asbestos in construction, maintenance, demolition, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, manufacturing, or refurbishment work.
