Workplace Assessor (Crew Assessor)

The Workplace Assessor (Crew Assessor) course is designed for supervisors and experienced workers responsible for assessing competence in the workplace.

This course focuses on practical workplace assessment, not formal assessment qualifications. It supports organisations to make consistent, fair and defensible decisions about whether workers are competent to safely perform site-specific tasks and activities.

This course is applicable across local government, manufacturing, mining, construction and other operational environments where workplace competency assessment is required.

What This Course Covers

Participants will learn how to:

• Assess worker competence through observation, questioning and evidence

• Apply site-specific criteria when making assessment decisions

• Assess workers who already hold qualifications, tickets or prior experience

• Gather, review and evaluate evidence of competence

This is a non-accredited course delivered by Orana Skills Centre. Successful participants will receive a Certificate of Completion recognising their training in workplace competency assessment aligned with industry and site requirements.
